💠 On September 23–24, the first Central Asia–Japan Think Tank Forum was held in Tashkent. The event brought together representatives of government agencies, leading think tanks, academia, scientific institutions, and the business community from Central Asian countries, Japan, and Azerbaijan. Representatives of the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) also took part in the forum.
💠 One of the key panel sessions focused on the green transition, energy security, and critical minerals. Participants discussed the efficient use of critical mineral resources, the development of resilient supply chains, the introduction of advanced technologies, industrial modernization, and investment attraction.
⚡️ Particular attention was paid to the use of modern technologies for natural resource monitoring, hydrogen energy, local processing, and the development of technological cooperation. Participants also emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation between Central Asia and Japan in investment, technology transfer, and joint production.
💼 For TMK, the forum served as an important platform for dialogue on prospects for cooperation with Japanese partners in the deep processing of critical minerals, the introduction of advanced technologies, the development of high-value-added products, and the creation of sustainable supply chains.
