⚡️ ESG at TMK: Environmental Results and Goals
💼 The Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) is making environmental efficiency an integral part of its industrial development strategy.
⚡️ To date, the total installed capacity of solar power plants at TMK facilities has reached 2,070 kW, generating 2.3 million kWh of clean electricity annually. Through the use of solar energy and landscaping initiatives, approximately 1,265.8 tons of CO₂ emissions are avoided each year.
More than 9,500 trees grow across TMK facilities, absorbing approximately 209 tons of CO₂ annually. Total annual greenhouse gas emissions amount to 42,835 tons of CO₂ equivalent. Annual water consumption across TMK enterprises stands at 4.753 million m³, while approximately 265 tons of waste are generated each year.
🎯 TMK’s key environmental targets for 2030 are to:
🟢 reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40%;
🟢 increase the share of renewable energy to 25%;
🟢 achieve a water reuse rate of 98%;
🟢 recycle 95% of generated waste.
✅ For TMK, green industry is not a concept of the future, but a practical transformation that is already underway.
