As part of the UzTMK representatives' visit to Belgium, an important meeting was held with the European Commission delegation led by the Head of the Central Asia Department, Ms. Ingrid Cailhol. The meeting was organized in cooperation with the Uzbekistan representative office in Brussels.
At the meeting:
The implementation of the Roadmap between the European Union and the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025-2026 on "Strategic Cooperation in Sustainable Mineral and Raw Material Supply Chains" was discussed;
The conditions for utilizing 2.5 billion euros allocated for critical minerals from the Global Gateway investment package of 12 billion euros, designated by the European Commission for Central Asia, were considered;
Important issues such as the practical application of funds allocated for this year for technical assistance and geological surveys were examined.
The parties expressed their firm commitment to deepening cooperation, forming joint projects, and sustainably developing the critical raw material chain.
This dialogue creates an important foundation for strengthening UzTMK's position and role in the global critical minerals market and developing innovative geological exploration projects.
