The Uzbekistan–India Business Forum was held in New Delhi, India, bringing together government officials and business leaders to strengthen bilateral trade, expand investment cooperation, and promote industrial partnerships between the two countries.
Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) was among the forum's key participants. During the business session, Shavkat Nabiyev, Advisor to the Chairman of TMK, presented the company's Mine–Metal–Market model, its strategy for deep processing of critical minerals, and its vision for expanding international cooperation.
TMK's presentation also held special symbolic significance within the forum agenda. As the concluding presentation of the business session, it served as a strategic bridge, connecting the discussion on critical minerals with the forum's most important segment—the ministerial session.
Throughout the forum, Indian companies were invited to participate in Uzbekistan's mining, critical minerals, and rare earth elements development and value-added processing projects. In addition, India's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, highlighted the prospects of negotiating a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and Uzbekistan.
Following the forum, TMK representatives held a meeting with officials from the Ministry of Mines of the Government of India. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the critical minerals sector, geological exploration, investment projects, technology exchange, and the implementation of joint initiatives.
