President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's initiative to form a future-oriented "education — science — industry" chain, envisioning partnerships with the world's 50 most prestigious universities, is reaching a new level.
A vivid example of this process was the visit of a delegation from the Uzbek Technological Metals Complex (TMК) to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a recognized global scientific and intellectual center that has been leading global rankings for decades.
During the visit, the TMK delegation, together with UBS University, met with MIT Vice President, world-renowned scientist - Professor Dimitris Bertsimas. Following the negotiations, an agreement was signed on cooperation in the field of training engineering personnel and implementing modern technologies.
According to the agreements reached, in the first stage, 100 engineering employees of TMK will undergo training on MIT's advanced educational platform.
This initiative is not just an educational project, but:
— an introduction of Uzbekistan's engineers to the latest technologies and global innovative experience;
— integration of the best standards of the American education system into the process of training national specialists;
— development of internationally competitive personnel who meet the requirements of tomorrow.
Cooperation with MIT has become the starting point for a new era of integration between education and industry in Uzbekistan.
