The MINEX Asia 2026 International Forum, held on June 24-25 in Ankara, Turkey, brought together leading global policymakers, investors, and industry representatives in the critical minerals sector.
During the forum's session, "The Middle Corridor as a Global Strategic Supply Route: Turkey, the UK, and Europe Join Forces to Secure Critical Minerals," Timur Hikmatullayev, Director of the Department of International Economic Relations and Diplomatic Cooperation at TMK, delivered a presentation titled "Unlocking Uzbekistan's Critical Raw Materials."
The session also focused on Uzbekistan’s integration into global value chains and the prospects for expanding industrial cooperation with international partners.
Furthermore, TMK's integrated "Mine–Metal–Market" model in Uzbekistan was presented in detail, covering the entire cycle from geological exploration of critical minerals to their deep processing and the manufacturing of high-value-added finished products. The country's rich mineral resource potential, investment opportunities, and avenues for international cooperation were also highlighted.
Participation in this forum marked another important step that will help transform Uzbekistan into a key link in a reliable and long-term supply chain for critical minerals.
