The Uzbek Technological Metals Complex(TMK) has won the international TiBeRIUM project, funded under the European Union's Horizon Europe program.
Thus, TMK is participating for the first time in the European Union's largest and most competitive research and innovation program.
The TiBeRIUM project (Titanium and Beryllium for European Resilience and Innovative Utilization of Minerals) aims to establish sustainable supply chains for critical minerals, develop advanced "green" technologies for processing titanium and beryllium, and conduct comprehensive scientific research in the region.
The project consortium brings together 25 partner organizations from 12 countries and is coordinated by the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology in Germany.
It is important to note that within the framework of TiBeRIUM, Uzbekistan participates not as a resource supplier, but as a full-fledged partner in scientific research, technological solutions and their transfer, as well as environmentally efficient processing.
The project launch is scheduled for May of this year.
