An important meeting on digital technologies and artificial intelligence was held, attended by the management of the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK), representatives from Huawei Uzbekistan, and international experts from the mining industry.
Today, Huawei is one of the world's largest information and communication technology companies, with operations in over 170 countries. The company is a global leader in artificial intelligence, 5G, cloud technologies, data centers, smart manufacturing, and Smart Mining solutions.
Huawei's technologies are widely used by many of the world's largest mining companies to increase production efficiency, enhance safety, and drive digital transformation.
The collaboration between TMK and Huawei aims to introduce this advanced international expertise into Uzbekistan's modern mining and metallurgical industry.
The following priority areas for cooperation were identified during the meeting:
⚡️ Digital Twin and integrated mining operations management: creating a digital model that reflects production processes, equipment, personnel, and key performance indicators in real time;
⚡️ Predictive maintenance: forecasting the technical condition of equipment using artificial intelligence, preventing malfunctions, and minimizing production downtime;
⚡️ Intelligent energy resource management: analyzing and optimizing electricity consumption at production facilities using AI;
⚡️ Modern industrial ICT infrastructure: integrating remote mines and production facilities into a single digital ecosystem through reliable communication, video surveillance, dispatching, and data exchange systems;
⚡️ Partnership with the Huawei ICT Academy: training, professional development for TMK specialists, and the implementation of joint scientific and technological projects.
In the next stage of the partnership, Huawei's subject-matter experts in Smart Mining will join the project. They will develop practical projects to adapt technologies—successfully implemented at the world's leading mining enterprises—to TMK's operations.
The core principle of this partnership is not the procurement of off-the-shelf IT products, but the joint development and phased implementation of comprehensive digital solutions that meet TMK's specific operational needs.
TMK intends to systematically transition to an intelligent mining model, leveraging Huawei's advanced technologies and international experience. This meeting was the first step in forging a long-term partnership between TMK and Huawei.
