TMK Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with One of China’s Largest Mining and Metals Holding Companies

As part of a visit to Uzbekistan by a delegation led by the Hong Kong Administration, a business briefing and round table were held in Tashkent with representatives of more than 120 leading Hong Kong companies operating in the industrial, financial, logistics, IT, and construction sectors.

Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) took part in the event and signed a memorandum of cooperation with Shaanxi Non-ferrous Metals Holding Group, one of China’s major mining and metals holding companies.

Shaanxi Non-ferrous Metals Holding Group comprises more than 30 subsidiaries with a workforce of over 40,000 employees. The holding company has formed an integrated industrial ecosystem covering geological exploration, mining, ore processing, metallurgical processing, and the production of high-value-added products.

The holding company includes major industrial enterprises such as Jinduicheng Molybdenum Co., Ltd., one of the world’s leading molybdenum producers, as well as Baoti Group, a significant enterprise in the production of titanium and titanium alloys for the aerospace and industrial sectors.

In addition, Shaanxi Non-ferrous Metals Holding Group has its own design institutes and engineering centers for the design and construction of mining and metallurgical facilities.

The signed memorandum lays the foundation for developing cooperation between TMK and Shaanxi Non-ferrous Metals Holding Group in the following areas:

— geological exploration;
— mining and processing of critical minerals;
— transfer of modern technologies;
— development of research activities and personnel training;
— joint implementation of promising investment projects.

Cooperation with such an industrial partner provides TMK with additional opportunities to develop technological expertise, expand international cooperation, and advance projects in the critical minerals sector.
