The Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex has become a participant in one of the world’s largest initiatives for sustainable business — the UN Global Compact.
By joining the Global Compact, TMK reaffirms its commitment to the initiative’s 10 principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
This step also demonstrates TMK’s commitment to systematically integrating these principles into its ESG strategy, corporate governance and operational activities.
As part of this initiative, TMK will:
- Integrate ESG principles into the company’s strategy and operations;
- Implement projects that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
- Annually publish a Communication on Progress (COP) report, openly disclosing its ESG performance at the international level.
This step further strengthens TMK’s systematic efforts to implement international ESG standards, reduce environmental risks, enhance operational safety and expand its social responsibility.
