


Today, an important meeting was held at the TMK head office with Suma Chakrabarti, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Economic Development, Effective Governance and International Cooperation, and representatives of the British Embassy.
During the meeting, issues of economic cooperation and interaction in the field of critical minerals between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom were discussed. Existing and new opportunities for collaboration between TMK and British companies were considered.
The main item on the agenda was devoted to the prospects of Uzbekistan's accession to the EITI (Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative).
Opportunities for increasing transparency through EITI membership, strengthening investor confidence, implementing ESG standards, and expanding cooperation with international financial institutions were discussed. Suma Chakrabarti particularly emphasized TMK's role as a key institution in this process.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached to strengthen ties with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, familiarize TMK representatives with leading international financial institutions, and organize a practical visit to the plant in the second quarter of 2026.
