MIT — the world’s #1 university — to train engineers of the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex

The strategic partnership between the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is bringing world-class knowledge and advanced technologies directly into Uzbekistan’s industrial sector.

MIT consistently ranks as the top university globally in technology, engineering, and computer science, and is home to more than 100 Nobel Prize laureates — making it one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the world.

At the first stage of the cooperation, 100 TMK engineers will undergo training through MIT Horizon, one of the world’s most advanced digital learning platforms.

This innovative platform transforms MIT’s research and industrial breakthroughs into concise, practical, and industry-oriented learning modules.

The curriculum covers the most critical future-driven technologies, including:
• Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Generative AI
• Digital Twin
• Internet of Things (IoT)
• Cybersecurity
• Quantum Computing
• Big Data

A major advantage of MIT Horizon is its ability to simplify complex scientific concepts and turn them into practical competencies. This enables TMK engineers to master the global technological language and think according to international standards.

MIT Horizon certificates are recognized worldwide, confirming the global professional status of TMK specialists.

This cooperation is being implemented within the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to create a unified “education – science – industry” chain and to develop partnerships with the world’s top 50 universities.

This milestone marks a new era of industrial-academic integration in Uzbekistan.
