TMK is implementing an automated environmental monitoring system

TMK is implementing an automated environmental monitoring system

For international investors and partners, ESG reporting alone is no longer sufficient. Real-time monitoring, reliable environmental data, and effective risk management are becoming increasingly important in modern industry.

Guided by this approach, Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) is gradually introducing modern digital tools for environmental monitoring across its industrial facilities.

Automatic air quality monitoring stations are already operational at several TMK sites, including:

➡️ the Rare Metals and Hard Alloys Plant in Chirchik;
➡️ TMK Chemicals, a sulfuric acid production plant in the Navoi region;
➡️ the Ingichka Beneficiation Plant in the Samarkand region.

Work is also underway to gradually deploy the system at other TMK industrial facilities.

The installed stations automatically monitor concentrations of key air pollutants, including PM2.5, PM10, sulfur dioxide (SO₂), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), carbon monoxide (CO), ozone (O₃), ammonia (NH₃), and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S).

The system also tracks meteorological parameters such as air temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed, and wind direction. Environmental data are recorded automatically and transmitted remotely.

The next stage will involve integrating data from all monitoring stations into a unified digital system and transmitting it to TMK’s Situation Center.

This will enable continuous and centralized monitoring of ambient air quality, allowing potential environmental risks to be identified and addressed more rapidly.

Through this initiative, TMK is moving from traditional environmental observation toward a data-driven digital environmental management system. The goal is to combine industrial development with high standards of environmental safety, transparency, and accountability.
