The Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) has taken a significant step toward industrial decarbonization and the transition to sustainable energy by launching a strategic partnership with Hygreen Energy, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of electrolyzers.
As part of this collaboration, a pilot project will be implemented to develop a modern hydrogen refueling and production station. This initiative marks an important milestone in the green transformation of the mining and industrial sectors.
The deployment of hydrogen technologies is expected to drive fundamental changes in the following areas:
• Ore beneficiation processes
• Production of metallized raw materials (DRI/HBI)
• Energy supply for remote industrial sites
Why Hygreen Energy?
• 19 years of experience and deep expertise in hydrogen technologies
• Over 300 successfully implemented projects worldwide
• More than 60 patents with in-house technology development
• Capability to provide all major types of electrolyzers (ALK, PEM, AEM)
The construction of a hydrogen station represents the first phase of a joint roadmap. Future plans include scaling up green hydrogen production to industrial levels (100 MW and above), in line with the global trend toward low-carbon industrial clusters.
The starting point of this partnership was PDAC 2026 (Toronto, Canada).
Following negotiations between TMK and Hygreen Energy at this global platform, the parties reached an agreement on the joint development of hydrogen infrastructure, which was subsequently formalized into a clear roadmap.
