Sulfuric acid is a key raw material for the continuous operation of the mining, metallurgical, chemical, and energy industries.
In line with the priority areas set by our President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the deep processing of industrial raw materials and the effective utilization of sulfuric acid production capacity, the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) is consistently implementing large-scale industrial projects.
Specifically, as part of the TMK Chemicals project initiated by TMK, a modern plant is being built in the Karmana district of the Navoi region, designed to produce 500,000 tons of high-purity sulfuric acid annually.
This sulfuric acid plant will be the first in the world to introduce a synthesis technology that utilizes low concentrations of carbon dioxide.
Project General Manager He Tao specifically noted that this plant will increase industrial efficiency and ensure environmental sustainability.
