As part of the "Uzbekistan - USA" business forum in Tashkent, a meeting was held with the delegation of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), led by Bethany Aquilina Brez, Deputy Vice President of the Office of External Affairs.

The Uzbek side was represented by officials from the Ministry of Mining and Geology, the Reconstruction and Development Fund, and the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Company.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and DFC in the field of critical minerals and a number of important initiatives in this direction.

For reference, DFC is an international financial institution overseen by the U.S. federal government. Its activities cover areas such as infrastructure, critical minerals, and energy, with DFC's total investment capacity amounting to 60 billion US dollars.
