A meeting was held with the participation of Ulugbek Ruziev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of UzTMC for Operational Issues, and O. Karshiev, Director of the Institute of Geology and Exploration of Oil and Gas Fields.
The discussion focused on the extraction of technological metals from waters generated during oil and gas industry operations. The possibilities of extracting valuable elements such as lithium, iodine, and bromine from these waters were thoroughly analyzed.
Lithium holds strategic importance in the development of green energy, serving as a key component in batteries used for electric vehicles and renewable energy storage.
Iodine and bromine are essential for medicine, the chemical industry, and various other sectors.
Through this initiative, UzTMC aims to contribute to environmental sustainability by transforming oil and gas industry by-products into economically valuable resources.
