An Uzbek-Korean business meeting was held in Seoul, aimed at expanding investment, technological, and industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea. A representative from the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMК) also took part in the event.
The meeting focused on elevating mutual cooperation to a new practical level, transferring advanced technologies, manufacturing high-value-added products, and implementing new investment projects.
For reference, South Korean investment in Uzbekistan has now exceeded $8 billion, with 725 enterprises with Korean capital operating in our country. Meanwhile, bilateral trade has reached nearly $2 billion.
As part of the visit, the TMК delegation also held separate talks with representatives from South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), KIGAM, YG-1, Potent Metals Corp., POSCO International, and LS Group.
During the dialogue, promising areas of cooperation were reviewed, including the deep processing of critical minerals, the adoption of modern metallurgical technologies, technology transfer, and the creation of high-tech products. A number of important agreements were also reached.
