New Achievement on the World Stage: Uzbekistan Joins 4 International Associations

New Achievement on the World Stage: Uzbekistan Joins 4 International Associations

Rare earth elements and strategic metals form the foundation of global technologies — and now, Uzbekistan has become one of the first countries in Central Asia to secure a solid foothold in this domain. The country was initially admitted as a full member to the International Tungsten Industry Association, the European Carbon and Graphite Association, and the Rare Earth Industry Association — and has now officially joined the International Molybdenum Association (IMOA).

Today, the world is undergoing a green technology revolution. Molybdenum plays a crucial role in environmentally friendly solutions such as wind turbines, solar panels, and electric vehicles — and is recognized globally as a "green resource".

What role does Uzbekistan play in this process?

Currently, the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex offers advanced solutions for the deep processing of molybdenum, ensuring high-purity products that meet international quality standards. Specifically, the Complex conducts hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical processing of molybdenum, producing high-purity chemical molybdenum oxide, metallic molybdenum, hard alloys based on rare metals, and specialized industrial equipment.

The Complex’s accession to the International Molybdenum Association (IMOA) will further strengthen and expand Uzbekistan’s contribution to this sector.

Membership in IMOA: A Gateway to Trust, Growth, and Global Opportunity

“Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex is deeply involved in the advanced processing of molybdenum in Uzbekistan and produces high-purity molybdenum oxide and metallic molybdenum products using both hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical methods. We are pleased to welcome Uzbekistan as a new member of our organization,” said IMOA Secretary General Eva Model.

Membership in the International Molybdenum Association provides direct access to timely and reliable updates on regulatory changes, safety standards, and environmental requirements related to molybdenum. It also opens strategic advantages — including the exchange of scientific and technical expertise with leading international specialists and real-time analytics based on global market trends and forecasts.

This membership marks yet another significant milestone in showcasing Uzbekistan’s industrial strength and strategic resources on the international stage.
